macai 2.3.0 Update Issue

Updating the application database to the newer version failed. This is a rare condition and your backup is intact, so your data is safe. Follow these steps to keep using macai and stay ready for future updates.

1) Download the previous version

Download macai 2.2.5 Contact Author

2) Restore your database from backup

  1. Quit macai.
  2. Open Finder and go to ~/Library/Containers/notfullin.com.macai/Data/Library/Application Support/macai/Backups (or the path shown in the backup notification).
  3. Open the most recent Before-macai_v2.3.0-… folder.
  4. Copy the three files inside (macaiDataModel.sqlite, .sqlite-wal, .sqlite-shm).
  5. Paste/replace them into ~/Library/Containers/notfullin.com.macai/Data/Library/Application Support/macai.
  6. Re-launch macai 2.2.5 and verify your chats are back.
